Who we are
Kartoro ("we", "us") makes the Kartoro mobile game and runs kartoro.net. This policy explains what we collect when you play Kartoro or visit this website, why, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
- Account data: a player ID created when you first play, the player name you choose, and, if you link one, your Apple, Google or other sign-in identifier and email address.
- Game data: matches, scores, league, level, items you own, the champion and items you use, friends and private-room activity, and reports you send or receive.
- Purchase data: what you bought and the store receipt, which our servers verify with Apple or Google. We never receive your card or bank details.
- Device and technical data: device model, operating system, app version, language, approximate region from your IP address, crash reports and performance data.
- Support messages: what you send us by email.
Kartoro has no free-text chat. Players use preset quick messages and emotes, so we don't collect messages written by players.
How we use it
- To run the game: your account, matchmaking, leagues, friends, private rooms and saving your progress.
- To deliver and restore purchases and prevent fraud.
- To keep play fair and safe: detecting cheating, handling reports and enforcing our Terms.
- To fix crashes and improve the game using aggregated statistics.
- To answer your support requests.
- To send in-game news about events and seasons. Push notifications are optional and can be turned off in your device settings.
No ads, no selling of data
Kartoro shows no ads. We don't sell your personal data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't use advertising identifiers to track you across other apps or websites.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run Kartoro, under contracts that limit their use of your data: game servers and hosting, Google Firebase (sign-in, crash reports and analytics), and Apple and Google for purchases. Your player name, champion, title, items and league are visible to other players. We may also disclose data when the law requires it or to protect players' safety.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. When they do, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as purchase and tax records.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to or restrict some uses. You can delete your account in the game (Settings › Account › Delete account), on our Delete account page, or by emailing [email protected]. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Kartoro is designed to be friendly for a general audience: no ads, no free-text chat and no pay-to-win. If you are under 13, or under the age of digital consent in your country, please play with a parent's or guardian's permission. We don't knowingly collect more data from children than the game needs to work. Parents can contact us at [email protected] to review or delete their child's data.
Security
We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls and server-side checks. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in account safe.
This website
kartoro.net uses no advertising or tracking cookies. It only stores your language choice in your browser. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and for important changes we'll tell you in the game.
